The HSA is made up of “all parents, grandparents, sponsors and guardians of students of Cathedral School and members of the faculty and staff.”  If you are reading this, then YOU are a member of the Association!  The HSA Executive Board consists of elected volunteers, who serve as facilitators of all Home and School activities.

The HSA has five objectives outlined in our constitution.  We organize many activities throughout the school year, keeping these main objectives in mind.  Our major goal this year has been to foster a strong sense of Cathedral community involvement, and to increase (as well as maintain) our volunteer base.

We circulate a newsletter every month highlighting the activities available to students and parents.  Click here to see our latest newsletter. We maintain a monthly calendar of school-wide events to encourage participation of all the members of our school community.  We prepare a teachers appreciation luncheon every other month; we organize potluck dinners and family nights as often as we can; we maintain a volunteer data base which is accessible to all the staff for their use; we co-ordinate the annual opening-of-the-year ice cream social and the end-of-the-year school-wide barbeque; and, perhaps our most enormous collaborative effort is our fundraiser, the Annual Dinner Auction, which raises our portion of the overall school budget. We are constantly brainstorming new ideas of ways to increase community involvement, and bridge the parent/teacher/student levels of our school.  The HSA is a very active, productive, dedicated group.
The H&S Executive Board meets the first Monday of every month at 6pm in the multipurpose room at the school, (provided that it is a school day).  All members of the Association (YOU) are welcome and encouraged to attend. If someone wishes to address the Board they must request to do so at least a week in advance.   We encourage you to join us anytime!
